there's more to life than this

Raaaaainyyy day. Managed to pack up my kit and unload it back at the apt. without getting too wet. My cases are accumulating a small layer of cat hair, however -- T's cat is pretty sheddy.

Only a few practices left before the big week of shows, yikes. New song is coming along well, but sloooooooowly.

Last night was the first night off in a while and it was spent with yummy pear cider and PSOne Activision games. Also picked up a Williams arcade disc, with Joust and Defender on it -- and a great game I'd never encountered before called Bubbles (object of the game: scoop up all the crumbs and ants in the sink with your bubble and avoid the cockroaches!). Gotta love the Joust, usedta play it for hourrrss. It's cool that they give a little history on each game too.

One of my students is screening his short film tonight, along with another alum who won the Student Academy Award for his little flick. A nice little evening out, local fun.

Little thing miss girl is not used to having me in the apt. much, what with all the work and band practice, so she's going a little nutzoid with all the noize and opportunity for extra petting and feeding. What a cutie. What a loudmouth cutie.
