there's more to life than this

Went out to the desert on Saturday to fly my recently purchased pirate ship kite at a "kite party", but was foiled by light to nonexistent winds. We were distracted momentarily by the local classic rock cover band and the clowns painting people's faces, but it was a tad disappointing to leave the kite in her port. One day she will pillage and plunder the clouded blue sky, you'll see.

Today was pretty frickin' productive, what with workin' at second job and getting some domestical shiznit done around here. I dusted off the old bike and took a spin around town too, which was real nice -- until the sun went down a bit too far and the bugs started flying in my face.

The good news is that second job will move into phase 2 soon, which means more flexible hours and a bit more bling. Also, we have decided to start recording soon and are talking summer tour. Yeah, summer tour! We'll see, fingers crossed.
