whole lotta drivin' goin' on

Ah, well, last week was chock full o' activity...

-Monday: cheer practice. Fun times learning new moves from our cheerific instructional DVD.

-Tuesday: Went to the county fair. Laughed my ass off being flung around on many rides. Ate cotton candy.

-Wednesday: Drove out to Hollywood to see my cuz. Ate yummilicious tofu-veggie thing at the Zen Grill. Much laughing and girl talk.

-Thursday: Went to see bandmate play her last show with her other band at the newly reopened Smell. Good show, although my back got a little tweaked from the geek mosh pit.

-Friday: Belated celebration of Mabon and Mumsie's birthday. More good eats and conversation.

Saturday: Cheerleading gig at local club. Uhhm. Imagine if you will, a scene not unlike the bar scene in the Blues Brothers. Buncha drunken frat punks with no sense of irony hurled insults and a beer bottle at us. Worst show ever.

Sunday: Hanging out watching Mr. Show and the new Scorcese series on the Blues with pals. Pizza and brews.

I think that things are going to settle a bit this week, not as much fun zone stuff scheduled. New (second) job starts tomorrow, which will put a crimp in Tuesday and Wednesday night cavorting at least.

I am especially excited about the Friday night Hindustani concert -- the last one I went to was like, god-like. This one even includes Indian eats during intermission, yowza.

October will be pretty dang awesome -- there's the friggin' Lightning Bolt show (heart goes pitter-patter), Michael Moore on campus, and the Schematic show with none other than the divine Richard Devine. And Halloween!

Here's a recent picture of my beautiful lady friend:
